Special Schools

Dance provision for children with SEND

High quality dance delivery is a valuable part of the PE curriculum for pupils with SEND. We deliver dance as part of the curriculum and extended services for special schools. We also work with groups of children in mainstream education.

Our specialist SEND dance syllabus has been carefully designed to include children with a variety of learning needs including ASD, PMLD, Speech and language difficulties, Dyspraxia, ADHD, Down’s Syndrome and other physical or medical needs.

From jumping with a scarf, to swaying with a partner, our creative and ‘hands on’ approach gets children engaged and joining in.

Tailored programme of dance

Our experienced leaders will work alongside staff at your school to carefully plan and deliver a programme of dance that suits the needs, ability and preferences of your children.

Sessions can also be used for CPD to upskill staff using the sports premium budget. If required, we can provide you with written lesson plans, curriculum links and include pupil assessment as part of our offer.

Staff from special schools we have visited look forward to our classes and say it gives them quality time with their pupils and injects fun into learning.

'I always get excited when you come into school. Your dance sessions boost morale and are fun for staff as well as the children'
