Rebecca Hart Rebecca is a highly experienced and well-regarded arts education consultant, dance teacher, examiner and producer. Her professional practise and research spans across multiple disciplines including; Dance in Education, Community Arts, Early Years Pedagogy, Creativity and Business. As an advocate for creative learning through dance, she is passionate about sharing it’s many benefits with everyone. She has inspired thousands of people of all ages and abilities to keep happy, healthy and learn through the power of dance.
Gemma started dancing at the age of 4 and eventually went on to train professionally at Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama. She has worked in various TV productions both as a dancer and as an extra, in shows and at film premieres in London and Nottingham.
Gemma has had a varied career including dancing for the troops in Singapore, modelling/dancing in London, Germany and Japan. She has done catwalk modelling, catalogue modelling and was the face of the shoe shop Office.
She has worked alongside celebrities including Will Smith, Bruce Forsyth, Philip Schofield, Paul O’Grady, Frank Bruno and Eric Cantona. She was also one of the cheerleaders for the Nottingham Panthers.
Gemma has taught a variety of dance styles for many years to all age groups including preschool, primary and secondary school children.
Amy trained at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, graduating with a BA Hons degree in Ballet and Contemporary dance. After graduating from Rambert she joined Edge Dance Company at The Place, working with various choreographers and performing with the company. She was awarded a Distinction for her Masters Degree in Contemporary Dance. Before embarking on full-time training, Amy was a Royal Ballet School Associate (Junior, Mid and Senior level). Alongside her performance work, Amy teaches Ballet, Contemporary and Creative dance to children of all ages, from 2 through to 18 for Rambert School, Junior Team GB Figure Skaters and other local schools among others. Amy also works with London Children’s Ballet, working at their Summer Intensive, company auditions and with the touring company. Her most recent performance work was with a contemporary dance company, Clod Ensemble, to mark the opening of their new studio at the newly launched Design District in Greenwich, London.
Kate Bonar - Teacher & Performer
Kate is a Freelance Dance Artist and experienced Entertainments Host. She has appeared in TV Dramas and Films.
Kate has trained in many styles including ballet, tap and jazz, and has a degree from the University of Chichester in contemporary dance. Most recently as a performer and entertainer onboard Royal Caribbean cruises.
Kate is a performer and teacher for the company and loves creating content for young children.
Rebecca Alvey - Teacher & Performer
Rebecca is an experienced Dance Practitioner with a diverse background in Performing Arts, Musical Theatre, Television, Film, Commercial Performance and Contemporary Theatre. After graduating from Middlesex University with a Bachelor of arts in Dance studies, Rebecca has worked abroad for numerous organisations including Alex Smith International School, The LittleGym Parent, Safari Kids. She has produced a theatrical entertainment show called 'Out on a whim' as well as created many bespoke performances and artist commisions.
Rebecca is a teacher and performer for the company and has helped to create some of the content for our online classes.
Pratika Pradeep - Digital Marketing
Pratika has a master's in marketing from Nottingham University Business School. Before completing her masters degreee in the UK, she studied in Mumbai University, India and completed Bachelor's degree in Mass Media. Her marketing skills include advertising, digital marketing, strategy and measuring project success.
Pratika has been working with the company this year as a marketing intern from Nottingham University and she has helped to develop the brand and social media engagement for Dance Equation brands.
Ellie Self - Teacher & Performer
Ellie trained at Millennium Performing Arts, graduating with the Wendy Toye Award for Overall Performer. Some of her professional performance credits include: 42nd Street [London Palladium], Pop Factor [UK Tour], Fame [Gordon Craig Theatre], Peep Bo in The Mikado [The Rise, Leicester Square, London], Kate in Pirates of Penzance [Brookside Theatre, London] and many more. Ellie has worked as dancer and teacher for Dance Equation for over 10 years. She has performed the maths shows and taught workshops across the UK for Early Years and Key stage 1 & 2.
