Secondary Schools

Dance provision for Secondary schools

Helping secondary schools, we deliver dance units as part of the Physical Education curriculum, dance clubs, arts weeks, wellbeing and wrap-around sessions. We also help with GCSE, A level, expressive and performing arts courses.

All classes include a warm up, set exercises, routines and a cool down, plus pupils can be creative and develop their choreography skills.  From street dance to contemporary, content is age specific and builds upon learning every week.

Dance units for KS3 & KS4 PE

We help school PE departments deliver a high quality, engaging and inclusive dance curriculum. Our experienced leaders will visit your centre on a weekly basis to deliver dance sessions for your chosen class groups. We work with full classes of up to 30 children at a time and will fit around your school timetable.

We provide schools with our lesson plans, curriculum links and include pupil assessment as part of our offer. The session can be used as PPA cover, or, CPD for PE teachers.

 

Dance support for GCSE and A level

We offer performance and choreography workshops for GCSE and A level dance, Performing Arts and Expressive Arts courses.

These dance classes can focus on one or more elements including: dance technique, choreography, improvisation, contact work, story-telling, to name a few. You can ask us to create a performance piece for a school production or as part of a GSCE, BTEC or HND exam.

We come to your centre to deliver weekly classes, half or full day workshops, or a week-long residency.

You can book us for the exact amount of time and days your school needs. We offer half-term, full-term and yearly packages. You can also book us as a one-off session for a special project or event.

We will work with your school to carefully plan and deliver weekly dance sessions that suit the needs, ability and preferences of your children. We even have a specialist SEND dance syllabus for centre’s that have a high proportion of children with SEND.
