Our current Dance and Maths package is called Dancing Digits and is for Early Years KS1 and Special Schools.
Dancing Digits is combination of PERFORMANCE, WORKSHOPS, STAFF CPD and RESOURCES. A unique cross curricular opportunity for staff and children to watch, learn and develop ways to dance about maths for themselves.

This is an inventive show for schools that brings the numeracy curriculum alive with movement and voice. A team of professional dancers will perform live in your school demonstrating fun ways to dance about maths. Academic input and ideas have been drawn from teachers and children to ensure the performance is pitched at an appropropriate level. The Dance and Maths workshops encorage participants to explore maths in a kineasthetic way. Our inventive approach is fun, physical and promotes creative learning. This is the perfect way to get children to explore ideas from the Dancing Digits show and dancing about maths. Workshops are usually for one class at a time and last approximatly 1 hour. Each session will include a warm up, learning moves from the show, creative tasks and a cool down. All our dancers are highly experienced dance teachers, have CRB checks and public liability.
Dance Equation will show staff ways to make maths fun and physical children to dance about numbers, fractions, bar charts... Our physical and creative approach is particularly useful to inspire those students who struggle with maths. The inset day that Dance Equation led at St Giles Special School (Derby) was great for staff team building and we learnt loads of new creative ways to teach maths to try out with our children
